leader - Movable worktable vertical machining centers

New vertical machining centers with movable worktable LEADER, in three axes configuration, are conceived to maximize performances in the machining of medium and large dimensions workpieces in precision mechanics, automotive, medical, aeronautical industries and in mold and die production.

Three models are available: LEADER 5, LEADER 6 and LEADER 7 differing in X-axis traverse (movable worktable) respectively: 1250, 1600 and 2000 mm.
Several configurations and optional equipment enable to produce “custom-made” machinery to suit the manufacturing needs of the individual user.

Speed, accuracy and power in one solution

• • LEADER structure enhances the rigidity characteristics of the machines even under the most extreme power and torque exploitation conditions.
• • Large machining capacity is assured by the Y-axis traverse of 810 mm and by a max. load admitted on the table up to 2500 Kg.
• • LEADER standard motorspindle is driven by a brushless motor assuring 27-kW power, 235-Nm torque and 15000-rpm speed. It is provided with an efficient internal cooling system with circulation of temperature-controlled fluid and an external chiller. SK50 taper (also HSK-A-100 version) is now available with max spindle speed 8000 rpm. Spindle torque and power performances at high and low rotation speed are managed by an electronic gear box.
• • Equipped with last generation Heidenhain iTNC530 HSCI e Siemens 840 SL CNCs boosting its accuracy and productivity qualities.
• • The operator’s panel is assembled in a front sliding structure characterized by an innovative design and high ergonomics.
• • New guards conceived according to most innovative industrial design criteria that sum up ergonomics, easy access to the work area, wide visibility during machining, comfort during workpieces loading/unloading operations, optimal smoke and swarf containment, easy use and maintenance.
